The butterfly

The butterfly ornament is made in mouthblown glass and hand-painted in bright colors honoring the rainbow flag known as the key symbol of the LGBTQI community and pride movement worldwide.

The ornament measures 11 x 7 cm. 

Each ornament is stored in an exclusive gift box with silver printing and magnet close feature.

10% of the proceeds from the Proud Christmas collection is donated to the organization Rainbow Railroad.

Symbolism: The butterfly is a beautiful and strong symbol of metamorphosis. As a young caterpillar it masters the art of disguise to protect itself and fit in with the environment. Then comes a day when it realizes that change and transformation is necessary in order to live on. This process happens inside the chrysalis, where it literally rebuilds itself, until finally feeling ready and strong enough to come out as a beautiful butterfly with wings to fly wherever it wants to go.

A fluttering, beautiful butterfly is a symbol of the freedom and profound joy that comes with being able to be one’s true self.
